Cora Anderson, Feri Queen, crossed over this morning at 1am.

I was in the midst of a sacred Beltane rite at that time, lit by candles. This morning, the bells of the Morris dancers were joyous as the sun rose over green hills.

We will miss her.

I said what I needed to say yesterday.

Here is a lovely gift from VeeDub, from a picture of Victor and Cora when they were young.

And Onyx wrote this, and Morpheus, this.

There is a three day vigil planned for her, if you wish to light a candle to aid her spirit, and in her memory.

Sex and death, the cycle continues. What is remembered, lives.
  • a great night to pass! Good timing Cora!
  •
    • Whatever you tried to post, did not come through.
      • It's his black armband of sad.

I'm sorry for your loss. May Cora travel well, hand in hand with Victor.
        • Oh! I didn't pick up the internet cue. Thanks for the explanation and condolances.
  • Blessings to one and all during this time of transitions.
  • Blessings and love.
  • I awoke this morning singing the hymn "May the Circle Be Unbroken" in my head. It has been haunting me for a week now.

I am heavy of heart and glad she has rejoined Victor.

    Love to you.

  • Gods grant her grace, and the joy of being reunited with Victor.

We will light a candle for her, and remember her in our own coven's rites. Because even though we never met her, her students, and her students' students, havetouched my life in very direct and wonderful ways. And for this she has always had my respect and admiration.

And we will sing our traditional farewell:

    We remember,
    We, remember.
    Nothing is ever lost.
    Nothing is ever forgotten.

    • I add my voice to Brock's. We will light a candle for her passing and rejoice that she is reunited with Victor.

      Hugs and condonlences to you.
  • Yes, she'll be remembered. I had a very unusual Beltain, this year. It was my first Beltain without my beloved, who crossed at the end of January, and my Beltain's dinner table looked more like a Samhain's Dumb Supper's...
And then, in my rites she was remembered, and mana was sent to her Godself.
I guess all this made me feel very close to her in spirit, even though I'd never had the honor to meet her personally...
May their reunion be blessed, in all the Worlds, and between the Worlds.
  • The few times I met her I found her amazing, admirable, powerful and humble.
And you people, the ones that took care of her, sat by her, learned from her, made things happen for her. You all and her are a true inspiration. A model even.
    Goddess bless all of you.

And my condolences to her family. I liked meeting her son, and hope that he is handling it as well as possible.
    • He is handling it amazingly well. I am the one who keep breaking down in tears. I am grateful to have not been asked by Cora to be part of the service (it would be leaky).
      • You guys have been through a lot with all this. Keeping everyone informed, all that caretaking. I hope that you treat yourself to some rest when things calm down.
  • She has gone from holding a place in this world in a single body to holding a place in this world in the hearts of all she touched.

    Blessings to all.
  • My condolences to you. Thank you so very much for the loving touch your brought to her life and the enduring love outward journey of your own life. Blessings.
  • May your memories and learnings of Cora always nourish your soul.
  • What is remembered, lives. And Cora will live in our hearts for generations to come.

    Thank you Thorn,
I'm sending Love, support and gratitude to Cora and you.
So many lives have been touched by her work. I hope to honor her in my work.
A candle is lit. A star blazes. Her Spark enriches.
    Much Love,
    Katie
  • I am so very sorry for your loss.
  • I've been waiting for this news and will light her a candle. My thoughts are with you, though. I wish I could deliver a hug in person.
  • Coras death

May she reach the other side safely (it don't doubt it). I'm lighting a candle for her.
  • Cora's passing

I am sorry for your "physical" loss but it appears she lives on through you and others.

  • Will keep her and all her loved ones in my heart and thoughts today. May her journey be blessed.

  • I am sorry for your loss

Thorn, this is Cedar. We met at Akashacon several years ago. I am so sorry to hear this. I remember how much you spoke of Victor and Cora. I will offer you a piece of wisdom that has helped me in the past: "No life ends until all the lives it has touched end, until all the good it has done has been forgotten." I am sure you have many closer friends there for you. If someone you only met once can help from across the country, please reach out. I have Bhride Watch tomorrow and would be honored to remember her impact on you, and therefore, on me.
